Dr. Marcia Barnes graduated from The University of the West
Indies, School of Dentistry, Trinidad in 1996 after completing a
Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She began practising in Jamaica
in April 1998. She recently completed MClinDent (Fixed &
Removable Prosthodontics) at King's College, London She joined
in the Jamaica Defence Force in April 1999 at the rank of
Captain, and served as the Force Dental Officer/ Head of the
Dental Corps for over 14yrs and left at the rank of a Major in
May 2014. She continues to be an active member of the Jamaica
Dental Association Dr. Barnes is also a member of the American
Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the
American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Kingston Study
Club. Dr Barnes was recently honoured for her voluntary work
with Best Care Foundation since July 2008. She continues to
provide comprehensive dental care to the staff of their
Children’s Home. Among to her many achievements while serving in
the Jamaica Defence Force Dr. Barnes received a National Award -
The Medal of Honor for Meritorious Service in 2013. Through many
hours of continuing education and professional affiliations Dr
Barnes continues to increase her knowledge of advanced technical
skills & state of the art dentistry essential in keeping
abreast of the latest advances in general and cosmetic
dentistry. With this constant exposure to the dynamic
technological side of dentistry she enjoys artistically
restoring teeth and help her patients maintain healthy, reliable

Dr. Andrew Phillips is a part of history as he possesses the
honour of being a member of the first cohort of dental surgeons
produced in the island of Jamaica. He is a graduate of the
University of Technology, College of oral Health Sciences having
successfully completed the Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D)
programme with honours in 2015. Prior to this accolade, Dr.
Phillips obtained the Batchelor of Science in Biology degree at
the Northern Caribbean University as a stepping stone to his
dream. Dr. Andrew Phillips grew up the eldest of three sons to
his parents and can recall his first patients being his willing
younger brothers who with innocent admiration allowed him to
remove shaking baby teeth. It is from the tender age of 10 that
he knew where his passion lay. Dr. Phillips is committed to
continuing education and remaining cognizant of new trends and
advances in the profession. Oral health improvement for the

Dr. Williams is a registered General Dentist with a special
interest in and a passion for Oral Surgery. She graduated from
The University of the West Indies, School of Dentistry, Trinidad
in 2013 after completing a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with
Honors. She began practicing in Jamaica in 2014. Prior to
attending dental school Dr. Williams attended The University of
Technology where she successfully completed a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Medical Technology. After graduation she
served in the profession both in public and private
laboratories. Even though Dr. Williams interest in Dentistry as
a profession came later in her life, it is a revelation she
describes as life changing and a complete gift. Dr. Williams
hopes to one day pursue graduate studies in Oral Surgery and to
become an educator in the field. Until then you can find her
providing quality care and giving sound advice to her patients.
